Project Advance Academy has formally changed its name to Millennium Tools.

There are over a billion people living on less than $1 a day
-- mothers, fathers, children, grandparents and vast numbers of young people -- all rendered powerless by destitution.

The United Nations states that for the first time in history, the nations, institutions and organizations of the world have sufficient financial capacity to rid the world of extreme poverty.

Poverty is not only the lack of money. It is the lack of power to improve one's situation.

Millennium Tools builds on a substantial history of remarkable results through a bottom-up approach to ending poverty by the people who live in poverty.

Millennium Tools believes in the capacity of the poorest to handcraft their own communities.
Community organizing methodologies represent a set of critical tools for crafting holistic solutions to extreme poverty; particularly when the poor themselves are able to hold these tools in their own hands.

Millennium Tools is dedicated to collaborating with on-the-ground practitioners throughout the global south who are committed to building the extremely poor into a people of power.
